Meshta Raw Jute is a blend of the meshta plant and raw white jute and is graded differently than white raw jute and tossa raw jute. The grades are:

Meshta Special White: White/ creamy in color, has the finest texture which has a very strong and good luster. It is completely free from defects, clean-cut, and well heckled.
Meshta-A: White to light cream, fine texture, strong and good luster. Free from blemish, has a clean-cut, and is well heckled.
Meshta-B: Light grey/ light reddish to straw color. Clean with average strength and free from croppy or hard gummy tops. Soft specks allowed, clean-cut and well heckled, free from black roots but soft red ends allowed.
Meshta-C: Any color, and strength with occasional bark and speck permissible but free from any unfretted jute and stick. Must be free from perished fiber and has a rough cut and heckled.
Meshta (SMR): Any strength, any color with beak and body specks. The top is cropped and gummy with hard-centered fiber.
