This is our Formal Marine Denim Jacket, and it's the one I keep in constant rotation. The reference is old naval uniforms, midweight denim, structure that softens beautifully with wear. I throw it on for walks that turn into long ones, dinners that turn into longer ones. It quietly holds an outfit together no matter what I'm wearing underneath. What's the jacket you never actually put away?

Amy asked me my favourite moment in the studio during the day. Turns out it's the smallest one. Nothing dramatic, nothing worth a photo. But it's the one I'd miss most if it went. What's yours?

This is our CPO Denim Shacket. The reference is old naval overshirts, washed indigo denim, chest pockets that actually hold things. I wear it in the studio more than anywhere else. It's the layer I reach for when I want structure without a full jacket. Half shirt, half jacket, all the utility I actually need. What's the piece you keep by the door?

This is how a piece actually gets made here. I start with the original from decades ago. In this case, an old Formal Marine jacket I've been studying for months. The weight, the stitch, the hardware, the way it's held up after decades of wear. Then I sketch. Then we build. My job is to keep what made the original outlast its owner, and lose the parts that no longer make sense. Everything you see us make starts here. What's a piece from another era you wish they still made today?

Scott asked me what I actually look for during a fitting. Half of it isn't even about the piece, honestly. It's about how the person moves in it and what their face does when they see themselves.

Scott and I at the studio table, deep in buttons and materials. Most people don't realise how much of our work looks like this. Not sketching, not sewing, not photographing. Just sitting side by side, holding one small thing at a time and asking whether it's right yet. This is where the pieces actually get made. Long before anyone sees them. What's the part of your work no one ever sees?

Amy asked me to explain modal in plain language. She calls it magic. I'll give you the version that isn't magic.

This is our Dionysus Cashmere Dress, and honestly, walking through New York in cashmere is one of my quiet joys. Pure Italian cashmere, cut to follow the body, no fuss, no buttons, no statement. I don't wear it to be seen. I wear it because of how it makes me feel. Some pieces you save for special occasions. This is the one I refuse to save. What's the piece in your closet you've decided to actually live in?

Scott asked me what clothing really represents to me. It's not really about the clothes at all. It's about the parts of us they end up carrying. I gave him my most honest attempt at explaining it. What's the piece you can't wear anymore, but still can't get rid of?

This is our Cote d'Azur Peasant Skirt, and it's the piece I put on when I want the day to have room to breathe. Cotton, flowing, elastic back waist so it moves with you instead of against you. The name is honest, actually. It was inspired by the kind of summer where nothing is scheduled and everything happens anyway. I wear it walking through Tribeca on hot days and, for a minute, pretend I'm somewhere else. Where would you want to wear it?
