Thanapara Swallows Development Society, founded originally by the Swedish organization The Swallows in 1973, is now fully independent Bangladeshi non-governmental organization. To empower the poor and underprivileged population, especially women, the organization developed the "Handicrafts Program": a fully sustainable program, ready to produce for you handmade clothing and accessories under the F

air Trade principles! They produce hand-woven fabrics, handmade broidery and tailoring clothes for the high profile international customers such as People Tree (the UK), Fair Trade Company (Japan), Fair Cooperation (Italy) or Fair Trade (Korea). Thanapara Swallows also runs other development programs which are partly funded from the Fair Trade production profit.
