I wonder can hand made with love ever be replaced by any technology or AI? As we still celebrate Fashion Revloution week, hand made with love finds its place deep and firm. The Indian handwoven classy tussah Silk was glorified when chosen by Alix for making hand painted scarf. The outcome was nothing short of exquisite beauty. It was a rather happy and excited feeling to start the day at a new destination Belgium with just about half an hour break after landing. A feeling of meeting unknown diluted in minutes when I met the most warmly country coordinator . Walking up to her atelier was nothing less than a visual treat to creativity. As the country coordinator she connected all dots for slow fashion industry to be joined up for change. A very welcoming and well connected person, I am so glad that we met and thankful for your support and guidance. Can’t forget the tea and reminiscing the evening spent with you.

The fashion capital of Antwerp is truly a happening place and rightfully so as we have some great fashion designers there. In my recently concluded visit to Belgium met a wonderful person Abelone .official and a very talented fashion designer practicing slow fashion yet creating a line that’s super smart and great for hassle free wear. The warmth of her personality is seen in her designs. If in Belgium it’s a must visit for fashion enthusiasts at her atelier. And I loved the grandma sewing machine that she kept nicely- a continuous inspiration! Some more interesting meetings in Antwerp which I will share soon. Stay tuned!
