Content idea ‘reveal your art slowly’, not correctly executed. 🌞 The painted bouquets are pure fun for me, they are imaginary and not real still lives, giving them a weird look, but that’s what I like about it. They are sometimes used in new patterns, but mostly not.

The garden studies are quick studies of real-life gardens, or pictures I personally took from real gardens, used for further development of textiles. In these processes I actively and purposely avoid looking at online inspiration or references as a practice and challenge, and to make the end product as unique as possible.

I asked one of the girls to film while we’re working on the design side of things. This is just slow and unedited footage of conversations we have during the day, mostly about the look of a print, looking for a particular drawing in the archive or just staring at designs and prints for hours until I think it’s good or needs to disappear. I always continuously talk out loud and it can be very tiring for people around me, so if you need to fall asleep this might do the trick.
