Mongolia, from where you can find the finest quality cashmere fiber, is facing an ecological disaster as the global demand for cashmere grows. According to the National Report on the Rangeland Health of Mongolia, 65 percent of its grassland has been degraded. Fortunately, most of the altered rangeland can be recovered if we take the right measures starting from now. At Good Wool Story, we believe

in slow fashion, where the environment and the people at the bottom of the supply chain do not need to pay the price. By backing us you will directly contribute towards our mission to regenerate the deteriorating grassland in Mongolia, and to support the heritage of the nomadic way of living, while enjoying our luxurious products. We are a small start-up with an ambition to do the business the right way from the very beginning. The fashion industry of today has become one of the largest polluters in the world. We need to act now in order to save the planet and keep our integrity as a humanity.

Due to the extensive Petercelle-as renewal works taking place in Nederkouter and the surrounding area, our boutique will be temporarily closed from Monday, 11 August until Wednesday, 1 October 2026.

This large-scale public works project includes the complete renewal of the underground infrastructure, tram tracks, roads and pavements, as well as the archaeological investigations that are required before the works can continue. During this period, access to the area is significantly affected by construction activity, noise, dust, changing pedestrian routes and temporary fencing.

Our boutique has always been a place where people can slow down, take their time and enjoy a peaceful shopping experience. We carefully curate a small selection of quality products, and many of our customers visit precisely because of the calm atmosphere. Unfortunately, the current circumstances no longer allow us to offer the experience that is at the heart of our shop.

Rather than compromising that experience, we have decided to temporarily close our doors until the area becomes more accessible again.

We sincerely thank you for your understanding, your continued support and your loyalty.

We look forward to welcoming you back from 1 October 2026.

As the July Sales are approaching…

Europe is breaking heat records year after year, but sure… let’s celebrate another “must-have” wardrobe for 30% off.

Millions of garments are overproduced, worn once (if at all), then dumped back onto the planet—bringing along the pollution and toxic chemicals along with them on top of the already created massive pollution during production and à la route to you. We keep treating the Earth like it’s got an unlimited returns policy, then wonder why it’s overheating.

So no, we won’t be joining the July sales. Because the mess we’re living in was mostly created by our overconsumption.
