ZLQ only made to order because we don’t care how many bags we sell.

Nor do we care how fast they sell out.

It can take days. Weeks. Or years.

We want you to think before you buy.

Do I need this?

Where does your urge to buy come from?

Is this new bag you want to buy functional to you? Only you.

Or is it just dressing oblivion?

After all, the only sustainable way to fashion is avoid buying things we don’t need.

So if we - at ZLQ - make a new bag out of new materials, we want you to be sure you need it.

Are you accustomed to our mantra yet? “Repair. Reduce. Reuse”

We like to practice what we preach so we made these handcut and handmade mouse pad / coasters from leftover leather scraps from our handbags production. Nothing goes to waste on our watch, not if we can help it.

Hi!

I‘m Liesbeth, founder of Atelier Liesbeth Verhelst] and ZLQ].

I notice a lot of new followers, so it’s time for a (re)introduction.

My business and professional career is continuously growing into new directions giving me ‘een mond vol tanden/ a mouth full of teeth’ when someone asks me what I do.

Atelier Liesbeth Verhelst] I help business owners design and develop durable (fashion) items. I work mainly with leather and fabric. I’m a single idea generator. I give you only the best, most durable option for the product you have in mind.
I inform, design, draft patterns, source materials and manufacturers and guide my clients through the full production process. If it’s a small production or a series of prototypes I do everything in-house, for larger quantities I search suitable productions.

Beside developing products, I design objects myself, I have my own handbag- and accessory label ZLQ], I give 1-on-1 or group trainings in- and outside Belgium focused on leather goods. I volunteer for .

I ❤️ to repair your favorite leather items.

I’m an eternal student. Always looking to expand my knowledge to help my clients and customers even better.
