We are happy to introduce Pedro Leal, the second Brazilian designer joining the Rio Store collection.

Based in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Leal is known for his organic forms and sculptural designs in reclaimed wood. His work has been featured multiple times in Casa Vogue, as well as in Claudia Online, Time Out, and Bazaar Interior Brazil, reflecting his strong presence within contemporary Brazilian design.

His pieces fit naturally within the spirit of Rio Store — warm, organic and crafted with care.

The first designer I would like to present is Isabel Ferrari, founder of .

I discovered her work while travelling in Brazil and was immediately drawn to the playful and unique designs — that moment sparked the idea to bring furniture into the store.

Isabel creates each piece together with her father, on their ranch outside São Paulo. Their work is deeply rooted in family craft and shared knowledge. All designs are handmade using reclaimed wood from demolition sites, giving every object its own character, history and sense of time.

The first designer I would like to present is Isabel Ferrari, founder of .

I discovered her work while travelling in Brazil and was immediately drawn to the designs — that moment is what sparked the idea to bring furniture into the store.

Some stories take time to come together.
After years of running a luxury fashion store, I closed its doors some years ago to make space for what I had long been working towards: designing and handcrafting my own jewellery. I returned to school, refined my skills as a goldsmith and built my own brand, Culture Jewelry, for which I create every piece myself.
For years, I have also been working with minerals from Brazil — stones I continue to carefully select and that now form a natural part of this new chapter.
Working by appointment gave me the freedom to travel again, and in 2025 I returned twice to Brazil after a 13-year absence. There, I discovered and fell in love with the work of young yet already established Brazilian designers, whose collections are well recognised in Brazil. I knew I wanted to give their designs a place in my store.
When my former store space unexpectedly became available again, the idea felt natural: why not return, bring everything together, and see how it unfolds?
Today, Rio Store reopens as both a working studio and a store — where my jewellery is made, Brazilian minerals are presented, and interior objects by Brazilian designers come together.
Open Thursday to Saturday, 11am–6pm
