About

Today I finally crossed something off my list and took a trip to Antwerp to visit a fellow entrepreneur.

Some places instantly make you feel welcome, and this beautiful shop was definitely one of them. Filled with creativity, passion, and so much warmth.

Thank you for having me, Adhi.☺️ It was lovely to meet in person, share stories, and connect.

I left feeling inspired and with a heart full of gratitude.

A little sneak peek of what I've been working on...

A few months ago, I started playing with the idea of bringing the KabAna texture into home décor.

Today, I'm finally taking the first step.

This lamp shade is crocheted in the signature puff stitch that many of you already know from the KabAna family.

It's still very much a work in progress, but I'm loving the texture and cozy feel it creates.

Now comes the big question... should I felt it or leave it just as it is? 🤭

I honestly can't decide!

Which stitch do I use for the Orana bows?

For the Orana bows, I use the Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) a simple but beautiful stitch that gives that soft, textured look I love.

I usually start with 12 to 14 chains, which feels just right for this project, but you can absolutely adjust it to make your bows bigger or smaller.

For something this small, I use by with a 4 mm crochet hook, though a Tunisian hook works too if you prefer it.

I’ll be sharing the full process step by step in my stories, and I’ll save them as a highlight so you can always find them back later.

Which yarn is best to use?

“The right yarn is the one that makes you happy every time you pick up your hook.”
In the beginning, I didn’t know which yarn to choose until I noticed how much difference it makes. Cotton feels the nicest for me: soft, smooth, and forgiving when I miss a stitch. For warmer projects, I go for a soft acrylic blend, simply because it feels good and stays beautiful. Every thread tells its own story. Whether it’s cotton, wool, or acrylic, choose what makes your hands happy and works for your project.
