The kimono 𝙎𝙪𝙣 𝙊𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 ☀️ has found a new home !

I let it go with a peaceful heart, knowing it now belongs to this absolutely wonderful lady 🥰

I’m certain it will be as happy with her as she is with it 🧡💛🧡💛

And I have no doubt it will flourish and be cherished in her care 🌱

𝔸𝔻𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ 18

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕨𝕠 𝕜𝕚𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕠𝕤 👘👘

In today’s Advent calendar window, I’m delighted to present not one, but two kimonos!

These pieces belong to the same family and are worn by wonderful, creative artists 🖌📷

The first kimono is crafted from comfortable and soft 𝙘𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣, gentle to the touch, with a delicate sheen that catches the light

The second kimono combines black French terry with a cotton fabric printed in a 𝙅𝙖𝙫𝙖-𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 pattern

A satin piping detail brings the two fabrics together, adding an elegant finishing touch 👌

𝔸𝔻𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ 11

This unique ensemble was created around the beautiful 𝘼𝘽𝘾 𝙒𝙖𝙭 𝙛𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙘 🔤 provided by the customer

She wanted to combine it with a solid-coloured cotton in order to design an 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙛𝙞𝙩 - casual but not too casual - consisting of a blouse and trousers that would be easy to wear and care for

The first challenge was to find a plain cotton fabric that matched the colours of the ABC fabric
After several attempts, we selected a blue 𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙤𝙣 fabric
Crushed cotton is a fabric that is permanently textured to create a naturally wrinkled surface
This uneven texture plays with light and shadow, giving the fabric depth and movement 🌊

It also naturally disguises wrinkles, making it ideal for everyday wear and for travel 🧳- and best of all, it requires no ironing ! 😎

The blouse design is simple, with regular short sleeves The eye-catcher 🧐 is the asymmetric neckline, enhanced with pleats on the left side

With today’s advent calendar window, I’m continuing the showcase of the absolutely fabulous 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙢 soft sweat fabric from - this time in navy blue !

What makes this blouse special is the series of pleats starting at the left shoulder, creating a subtle 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 that runs across the entire front

Discreet, elegant, and quietly striking⚡️

Avec le calendrier de l’avent d’aujourd’hui, je continue de présenter l’absolument fabuleux tissu sweat doux 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙢 de — cette fois en bleu marine !

Ce qui rend ce chemisier particulier, ce sont les plis qui partent de l’épaule gauche et créent un léger 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 tout le devant

𝔸𝔻𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ 3

𝔹𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕜 & 𝕎𝕙𝕚𝕥𝕖 🖤🤍

Yesterday, I presented a custom-made project that was partly carried out remotely, with several decisions made ovef the phone and via whatsapp 📞

In today's advent calendar window, I'm sharing a project that is even more amazing and challenging...
We never met with the customer at any point of the process ! All communication happened exclusively through calls and messages

I must say, I was truly impressed by the customer's confidence in my skills 🙈
Even though she provided me with every possible and impossible measurement and all the re-checks I requested, it still felt a bit like working in the dark, or with my eyes closed 😎

The customer needed a formal dress for a special occasion, which had to be at least partly black, but with a touch of fantasy or 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 🧜‍♀️

When creating custom-made clothing at a distance, it’s of course impossible to choose a highly fitted model that would require multiple in-person fittings
We finally settled on a straight-cut dress with a slightly flared hem, made in a very lightweight, bias-cut animal-patterned fabric 🦓

The final touch was a scarf combining both the black fabric and the animal print
Its playful detail was its shape: a 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙖𝙠𝙠𝙞, inspired by the traditional Finnish sweet 🇫🇮

Despite a few moments of stress, this project was great fun and truly pushed my creative boundaries. The lesson learned (once again) : never say no to a challenge…💪 you might regret it! 😍

𝔸𝔻𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ 2

𝕄𝕚𝕩𝕖𝕕 𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕥𝕪 🌍

This unique custom-made project started with a single spark of inspiration: a gorgeous 𝘼𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙘 the customer brought to me, with embroidery and beads

The goal ? 🥅
Create an ensemble with trousers and two matching tops

Step one was a bit of a 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙩 : finding two cotton fabrics that not only matched the green fabric in color, but also in texture and overall style

Once the pefrect fabrics found, I began testing and shaping the pieces on a mannequin
Little by little, we refined the models until we found the perfect combinations

I adore projects like this because they’re basically
𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙯𝙯𝙡𝙚𝙨 🧩 🤗

Choosing which parts of the fabric to highlight ensures that the most beautiful details are showcased and enhanced by the solid-colored cotton fabrics

And just to make things extra interesting, most of the work happened from a distance, with decisions made through photos and phone calls
Challenging ? Yes 💪
Boring ? Never ! 🤩

𝔸𝔻𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ 1

ℝ𝕖𝕕 𝕜𝕚𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕠
The story of my kimonos began with the red 🍓 🌶 kimono - the very first one I ever created !

Made of cotton, featuring a beautiful wax-style print combined with a red soft sweat fabric that is incredibly gentle… so soft, so soft... 🐥

This kimono also carries a very 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮 connected to the person who eventually adopted it
It happened at a craft market in Brussels 🇧🇪

A young couple 👫 in their early twenties, stopped by my booth
They quickly browsed through my kimonos hanging on the rack and then walked away
A few moments later, they came back
The young man asked me if he could try on the kimonos
𝙔𝙚𝙨, 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚! I told him 🤩

He tried on every single one ! He, his girlfriend, the vendor from the neighbour booth, and I ended up sharing a wonderful moment as we helped him with his big totally improvised 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬
In the end, he left with that red kimono
He simply told me he thought it was “cool”

Through him, I want to tell you this: DARE !
Dare to dress the way you want to, and wear clothes that make you feel good. Not what fashion dictates, but what 𝙮𝙤𝙪 think is cool 😎

Do you like 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 ? 🎄🎄🎄 I do !!!

It’s that time of year when you can finally slow down a bit and take a break - nature is doing the same…
and anyway, it’s so dark outside you can’t see much !

At the same time, it’s the end of the year, and you feel like taking stock of everything

This December, I’ve prepared an 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓 🌟
