THE CHOICE
Tonight was supposed to be all about celebrating Bianca's boutique. And it was - until my phone rang.
My manager said a producer in LA heard my old demos. Wants to record an album. Wants me back as soon as possible. My heart was racing the whole way through the opening, the whole time I was trying to smile and celebrate my best friend's dream while my own seemed to be calling me away.
When I finally told Bianca, I could barely get the words out. She just smiled that calm, steady smile and said, "You have to follow what makes you happy." It made me want to cry - he believes in me so completely.
But something feels off.
The producer doesn't want the song I've poured my heart into. The one about friendship, about bonds, about the people who hold you up. He wants me to record someone else's words. Someone else's vision. The same compromise I've been running from since I got home.
I can't stop thinking: if this is my dream, why does it feel like I'm losing part of myself?
Bianca keeps telling me she's proud no matter what I choose. Maybe that's what real friendship actually is - the kind that gives you space to decide who you are, without trying to pull you in any direction. The kind that loves you enough to let you choose, even if it means you leave.
And maybe the dream isn't about leaving for LA at all.
Maybe it's about staying true to what I love. And to who I love.
I have to decide. And I think I finally know what the answer is.
What would you choose if staying true to yourself meant giving up the opportunity?
