For several months every time I thought about posting here, it felt like another task waiting to be crossed off a list.
The truth is I was burnt out and I needed some distance before I started resenting something my mom and I had spent years building with so much love.
Stylyne began with tradition and curiosity, bright colour and the pleasure of making something beautiful. Somewhere along the way, sharing it started to feel less like play and more like a duty.
It is surprisingly difficult to change your relationship with your work when the place, the responsibilities and everything surrounding it remain the same. But I really want to try.
I want to create and share because I feel drawn to it, not because a calendar tells me I should. I want to feel some of the joy that I hope women feel when they put on one of our skirts and watch the pleats come alive around them.
And then summer arrived. The days became longer, brighter. Orders began coming in again. More of you started discovering Stylyne, choosing colours, planning holidays and giving these skirts new lives beyond our atelier.
It felt like the right moment to begin again. So let's begin without a grand strategy, just with seven days of colourful summer through the Stylyne lens.
Day 01: Poolside, in pleats. 💙
