COTON BRUT

For the final chapter of its latest collection, BAKUSORAYA returns to the very foundation of the garment: the fabric itself.

Built around cotton in its rawest and most honest form, COTON BRUT explores the relationship between fabric, craftsmanship, and the origin of the garment.
Locally grown, worked by hand, and shaped through slow artisanal processes, the project highlights the beauty of simple gestures, time, and savoir-faire.

The collection unfolds through three chapters: indigo, terracotta, and raw cotton.
Three stages that reflect a return to the source rather than an excessive transformation of the material.

Through this campaign shot in Porto-Novo, BAKUSORAYA transforms a living courtyard into a space of creation, transmission, and memory.
Cotton is spun, dried, sewn, and pressed before our eyes. Each silhouette carries the trace of the human work behind the garment.

Here, luxury is not defined by excess, but by precision, sincerity of material, and the quiet strength of simplicity.
