Welcome to This Prairie Farm! Here you will find information about our farm, what we value, what's in store and what is in the works. We purchased our land in rural Central Alberta back in 2024. We hope to share more about our homesteading, but more importantly, when we have meat drops and farm store items available to purchase and reserve. Since 2012 we have been on a mission to find the most nutrient dense food for our family, free of toxins and cheap fillers. We want to live as healthy as possible & raise strong nourished kids. It all starts with raising our animals right - with lots of sunshine and the highest quality food. We want healthy animals, healthy soil, healthy land so that our food is nutrient dense. We are constantly praising God for providing such amazing animals that turn foliage into protein - and basically every single nutrient our bodies and brains need to thrive. Follow along for tips on living a carnivore lifestyle, my experiences eating plant-free before, during and after pregnancy, nursing, as well as feeding my babies animal-based (As well as my experience being totally plant-based for 10 years prior to my first pregnancy, then adding in meat, plants & lots of nuts and seeds for the next 3 pregnancies, and fully going carnivore for the past 2 pregnancies). As a family who now eats mostly meat, the quality, taste and texture matter. We stock our deep freezers and go through A LOT. This means that we pay close attention to everything from land, grazing, pasture diversity, the kill (where and how), how long we dry-age the beef, and who our butcher is. We have learned through a decade of ordering from multiple various ranchers that every part of this process makes a difference in how our meat tastes - we want to get it right for our family and love that we can control the whole process. We are also able share it with you. Contact us for availability, deliveries, and meat drops.
