The Riddle Second Hand Store was started over a decade ago by Friendship Center staff and volunteers who saw a need for it in the area. We are a community program that runs off the generous donations of members of Athabasca and surrounding areas. Being a Not for Profit, we give back to the community in various ways throughout the year such as our "Fill a Backpack" school supply program, Coats for kids, our Annual "Kids Wrap" event along with many other endeavors with our community partners.

Dear Donors,

We kindly ask that anyone bringing in a large donation please speak with one of our staff members beforehand to confirm that we are able to accept all of the items.

Unfortunately, we have had situations where large amounts of unwanted items or garbage are left at our store instead of being taken to the appropriate dumping facility. This creates additional work and takes up valuable space that we need to serve our community.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If each of us chooses to contribute and help rather than take advantage of our space, we can continue providing a better service and more support to our community.

Thank you for your kindness, understanding, and continued support!
