The sewing business will be closed from July 12-22 for vacation. I look forward to seeing everyone when I return.

This tuxedo shirt was an interesting alteration request. The customer brought two shirts. One all white tuxedo shirt, one printed Transformers. The request was to join the two shirts together so the back had the bulk of the print. It looked like a simple request, but definitely had some challenges and extra alterations to make it all fit together properly.
I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

A dress to wear to a summer wedding in PEI. It was a full length dress with three layers. The customer wanted it to me a cocktail length high-low hemline. ( the front is shorter than the back) . I also did an alteration to the neck strap with button closure.

I had a customer bring me a “Giant Tiger” dress and asked to have it altered. She wanted wider straps and sleeves. Luckily, she brought a second identical dress so I had material to work with. I did add elastic to the sleeves for her after she tried it on so the sleeves are less flowy now.

The last of the costumes for West Kings Theatre Production of Sister Act are finished! Whew!
The test-away costumes were an interesting challenge. It’s always good to try something new. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, don’t miss out on this one! You won’t be disappointed in this years production! April 22-26.
