As we wrap up 2025, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who chose to shop small this festive season — and throughout the entire year. Your support truly means the world to me and to Sunlight Creations. Because of you, this year broke all of last year’s records, and I’m endlessly grateful. Meeting you all on market days is truly my favourite part of what I do 🤍

For the past five years, I’ve been creating meaningful pieces using flowers from our surroundings, wedding bouquets, and special moments shared with so many of you. Being trusted to turn those memories into something lasting is such an honour, and it brings me so much joy to be part of your biggest milestones.

On a more personal note, this past Monday, my partner told me we were celebrating the end of my biggest holiday season yet — little did I know he was about to ask the biggest question of all. We are now so happily engaged 💍
Seeing flower petals laid out on our hotel bed after such an unforgettable day filled me with overwhelming excitement. It felt like everything I love — life, love, nature, and flowers — coming full circle.

This marks the beginning of capturing our own love story through my art. I couldn’t resist bringing those petals home, carefully drying them, and soon incorporating them into a piece of jewellery I’ll cherish forever.

𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚.
I grew up admiring my grandmother’s love for flowers. Summers at her house meant walks through her garden, her smile as bright as the blooms she showed me. When I began pressing flowers into jewelry, she would pick my favorites for me to preserve. Over time, my work grew to focus on Bow Valley blooms, but on a recent visit home, my grandmother-now in her 90s—asked if I wanted to bring some from her own garden to incorporate in my pieces like I used to do. Instantly, it brought me back to the heart of why I create- to tell a story.

She can often be found wearing my creations with pride, and this collection is dedicated to her: to her love for flowers, her family, her generosity and the love she’s always shown me. Every piece contains a touch of her love and grace, with the hope that her flowers can travel as many places as she would dream to go, while sharing a piece of her story with you.

CANMORE!! What a fun time these past 2 months have been. You guys have given my little dream so much love and I'm so grateful for every single one of you that either came in for a chat or to buy a piece or two. This opportunity really sparked my love for sunlight again and I'm so glad I got to share it with you all in the mountains!
The evolution of my booth over the weeks was so much fun to see and experience, can't wait to see you one last time for this season on Thursday October 3rd. Stay tuned for my next pop ups in the bow valley!!💘🌸
