It’s easy to miss people. I miss so many people in my life since moving to Nova Scotia, especially Landon!

But I have never missed something the way that I miss boxing classes in Hamilton.
•
But here’s the thing… life is about taking risks. Moving across the country was something we discussed, and decided it was the right choice. Moving to a place where you don’t know anybody is tough. Moving to a place that is so much quieter is different. Moving to a place where the pace of life is way slower takes some adjusting. Moving to a place where I can’t just pick up my gym bag and go has been the hardest adjustment for me.

The biggest lesson I have learned since moving here is that instant gratification is overrated. When living in the city, we are constantly moving with others. We have so many options to choose from, we can’t even sit with ourselves long enough to have deep thoughts. We have everything at our fingertips and we can be so greedy in the sense that we want to have it all. It’s a fu***ng rat race!

I miss my family, my friends, and the gym SO MUCH! It’s crazy. But I am loving the experience of how to appreciate life in a way I never would’ve got to in Hamilton. I’m able to stop and TRULY smell the roses here.

I have big dreams… I’m taking my experiences from back home, and my experiences here, and I am GROWING SO MUCH! It is all part of the process. What I had then is carried with me through my experiences now, and it is humbling to watch our life blossom in a very special way. I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy. But I’m telling the truth when I say we made the right choice. Opportunities like this don’t come everyday, and we are so fortunate to have this one!
