The struggle with everything that COVID has created is felt by ALL OF US in this Industry.
As professionals in the Renovation Industry, Designers, suppliers, Trades... etc..... we are helpless to offer relief to our clients.
Here is what one Designer in the Kitchen and Bath Industry posted..... please read and please understand.... We all feel what everyone is feeling.....

I have never felt so powerless as a Kand B and Interior Designer -

This is not a post about kitchen design , layouts , finishes or materials.

Last night I had somewhat of a meltdown, I was feeling so overwhelmed by the Covid ā€œnew reality ā€œ for our industry.
I am intensely feeling the frustration , the powerlessness , the pressure -and it all caved in on me.

Designers , kitchen and bath show rooms - really just everyone in our industry including our suppliers, vendors and all the way down the line , are having to do something weā€™ve never had to do beforeā€¦.ļæ¼-constantly disappoint our customers although of no fault of ours.
I have never felt so powerless in my position as a designer.

I feel a lot of pressure from my clients, even though they understand there is a supply chain problem and theyā€™re reading about it in the newspapers and hearing about it on the news and from friends,they really donā€™t grasp how serious it is, and some of them even somehow think it doesnā€™t apply to them !
I really appreciate my clients and Iā€™ve always worked so hard to manage my jobs, complete them in a timely manner and make sure the client is happy.
Now , we throw this timing and supply delay wrench into the mix, resulting in zero control.
The pressure is intense , the end is not in sight, but the work keeps coming in wave after wave after wave. ( grateful for the work)
I just wanted to share because I know that we all are feeling the pressure and the frustration.
We talk a lot about the mechanics of our jobs the designs and the business end of things.
But I felt it was important to share here because I know collectively we are all experiencing a little bit of this Covid meltdown. I am only sharing my experience , and yours is yours, however I thank you for listening.ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼
The following are some photos of a job in progress that Iā€™ve been working on for a year - we still donā€™t have doors for kitchen cabinets weā€™re missing appliances, and I have a rug that is six months delayed . Lighting is not in yet and the trades are all behind .
Not a new story to any of us just thought Iā€™d shareļæ¼.
