My new edge-to-edge quilting rate is 3¢ per square inch, and my current turnaround time is approximately one week.

• Beaumont

My batting and wide-back inventory is currently limited. I do have some available, so please check with me if you’ll need batting or backing for your quilt. I won’t be fully restocking until I’m settled and the studio is completely set up.

Some quilts are just a little extra special. ❤️

This afternoon, a good friend messaged me while I was at work. A friend of hers from out of town had just finished their very first quilt and was hoping to have it quilted before heading home.

She dropped it off around 5:00 PM, and by 7:00 PM it was ready to go home.

Now, before anyone gets too excited… 😄 A 2-hour turnaround is definitely not our normal! First quilts are just a little different. They deserve celebrating, and I felt incredibly honoured to be trusted with such a special milestone.

Watching someone finish their very first quilt reminds me why I love this community so much. I still remember the excitement of my own first quilt, and if I can help make that moment just a little more memorable for someone else, I’m happy to do it.

Our regular turnaround is still one of the things our customers love most—typically less than a week, with pickup and drop-off available in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and South Edmonton.

Oh my!
I will definitely be looking through my oodles of quilts and picking out anything a child might like. Cuddly, bright, happy and fun!

Maybe you can peak in your stash too. Or have some fun making something new.

There’s some very unfortunate circumstances out there - children deserve ask much better. So let’s wrap them in some quilt hugs!

We are currently running low on quilts to give to the brave kiddos we support. These quilts provide so much comfort to those visiting the Zebra Centre.

🧵 A little quilting tip!

Did you know that a quilt backing and batting should extend at least 4 inches past the quilt top on all four sides?

That extra fabric gives the longarm enough room to load and quilt your project properly. So if your quilt top measures 60” × 80”, your backing and batting should be at least 68” × 88”.

Not sure if your backing is big enough? Don’t stress—I’m always happy to check before you drop your quilt off.
