Today, we met with one of the individuals involved. This individual has taken full responsibility, apologized to our staff, and acknowledged that what happened was wrong and paid for the merchandise that was taken. We genuinely appreciate that accountability and hope it’s the first step toward making things right.
Others are still working through that process, and we remain hopeful those conversations will continue. We are also continuing to work with the police as they determine the next steps in their investigation.
As a small family business, this wasn’t just about approximately $1,000 in merchandise. It’s about the feeling it leaves with our team—people who come to work every day simply wanting to help families, celebrate milestones, and create a welcoming space for our community.
We didn’t share the original post to shame anyone. We shared it because we needed help identifying those involved and because theft has real consequences for small businesses. Whether someone physically takes merchandise or helps create the distraction that allows it to happen, every role has an impact.
To everyone who shared our post, sent messages, and supported us—thank you. Your kindness has reminded us why we love serving this community.
We truly believe mistakes don’t have to define someone. Taking responsibility, learning from them, and choosing to do better is what matters most. ❤️
