Yes, I’m still alive & well! 🤦🏻♀️
Yes, it’s been far too long. In fact, this picture was taken in August during my very long, unplanned hiatus.
I won’t be the first to admit that being a working mother is hard. Heck, being a mother is hard some days.
I knew I would be taking a break from BabeBanding for a few weeks in the summer because we were travelling to visit family in Quebec. But then my little one’s first birthday came and then I entered five weeks of an unexpected emotional roller coaster as I tried to face the reality of going back to work-work. Then the work & daycare routine began & all that comes with that … and here we are.
How did I just shelf the little business that I started after all the effort I put into it? I listened to my mind, heart, & body.
If you’re still reading… thank you. I knew this post wouldn’t be short & sweet. I wanted it to be real. And it doesn’t get more real than a mom trying to juggle it all. I knew a ball would be dropped heading into a yet another transition phase of my life and it was the BabeBands ball.
But here I am. This photo was taken when I wasn’t wearing headbands every day but ball caps. But I’m back into headband season & I’m ready to pick up the balls.
Look for new bands coming soon, just in time for the festive season✨
