Three incredible days of runway shows, buying, new designers and finding the gowns we know our brides and prom girls are going to LOVE! 💕👗

We started with Sophia Tolli, seeing the newest bridal collection come down the runway before heading into PROM 2027 shopping.

✨ NEW DESIGNER ALERT — Lucci Lu is coming to Emma’s!
🌸 Alyce Paris had us saying YES to florals, lace and gorgeous brocade.
🇺🇦 Oksana Mukha absolutely stole the runway with show-stopping Ukrainian designs — of course, we had to bring a few home!
✨ Primavera Couture brought the BEADING, sparkle and glamour for Prom 2027.
🇺🇦 And we finished market saying YES to another new designer — Helena Davialis! European flair, incredible fabrics and designs that are anything but ordinary.

And we squeezed in a little Chicago fun too — a ball game ⚾, boat tour 🚤, amazing dinners and time enjoying this beautiful city. 🏙️

DAY 3 AT CHICAGO MARKET — THE LIFE OF A BUYER ✨

The destinations are beautiful. The gowns are beautiful. But most importantly, the women we shop for are beautiful — and they’re celebrating some of the biggest moments of their lives. 🤍

Being a buyer for Emma’s Bridal Boutique is so much more than attending glamorous runway shows and looking at pretty dresses.

We travel by planes, trains, cars and sometimes even boats. We spend days — and honestly weeks — planning, prepping, studying trends, analyzing what sold, researching what’s coming next and carefully choosing every gown that eventually makes its way to Belleville.

We walk for hours. We talk for hours. We negotiate, compare, photograph, video, promote, place orders and spend a LOT of money. 😂 And yes… sometimes there’s even a little dancing along the way!

Every dress I choose, I’m thinking about you.

Will she feel beautiful in this?
Will it flatter different bodies?
Is it comfortable?
Is it special enough?
Is it something she won’t see everywhere else?
Will this be her dress for one of the biggest days of her life?

It’s rewarding. It’s exciting. It can look very glamorous from the outside — but by Day 3, I can tell you it’s also exhausting!

But then those boxes start arriving at Emma’s Bridal Boutique. I watch a bride, graduate or mother step into one of the gowns I chose months earlier and see her face light up.

That’s the moment all of this is for.
