Hi everyone,
Unfortunately we had a pretty bad family emergency tonight and as a result we will have to close for the next couple days, possibly a week as we focus on this.
Luckily, everyone is alive and recovering, that is all that matters and the only detail I will be sharing at this time.

For the next month, we’re aiming to save half of every purchase to donate to the Woodland Cultural Centre on September 30th, just after their Truth and Reconciliation Event.

So, whether it’s a market sale, a custom order or anything in between—whether it’s a small purchase or a larger one—we’ll be happy to donate it.

Please come out to the Woodland Cultural Centre on September 30th for a day of reflection, learning, culture and community.

Let’s help support an organization that truly dedicates itself to preserving, protecting and promoting our indigenous history, both the good and the bad. 🧡

It’s safe to say that Canada Day 2026 will be etched in our memories forever!
First and foremost, we’re all okay and safe, which is the most important thing.
I’m incredibly grateful that my dad and Almost Authentic Apparel were there with me during this. Most of the day, I was alone, but they were only there for about an hour when things started to go wrong.
When my tent began to break, I immediately went into mom mode and ran inside with my daughter. Thankfully, my dad and partner stayed behind to literally hold down the fort, and because of that, I was very fortunate that my items themselves didn’t get ruined, but I can’t say the same for our tent and some of my display stands; and I know that isn’t the case for all the other vendors, which devastates me more.
As vendors, we’ve all seen videos online of things like this happening and think, “Oh, we’ll be prepared if something like this happens,” but today, I rediscovered the fact that you never know what will happen next. What started out as a hot, sunny day ended in severe winds, rain and a feeling of shock that still hasn’t fully worn off.
