I am freaking loving this print!!

My trusted green floral maxi skirt is coming to the end of its life. The waistband is thinning and while the rest of the skirt can be saved and repurposed into something new it won’t be long enough to be my go to maxi anymore. It’s served me for 10 years now and seen a lot of weddings, craft shows, bridal showers and more!

That means I’m in the market for a new Everyday Maxi Skirt and with all the rayon prints available this season I think this is the year I make myself a new one.

I’m pretty jealous this local client snagged this print before I realized how perfect it goes with my waistcoat!

I’ll have to pick another…🤔

The first summer of Covid I went to a artisan market in Peterborough and met a lovely women who designs and screen prints her own fabric!

We got talking and when she found out I sewed she gifted me a bundle of her fabric samples 💕.

Shortly after that meeting I hit a creative wall and stopped sewing. I barely sewed anything during those Covid years.

It wasn’t until I was hired to sew a wedding dress and two flower girl dresses last summer that I finally felt that familiar love for sewing.

It’s been nearly 2 years since I was gifted those samples and I’m happy to finally share one of them with you all!

The purple and pale yellow accent piece in this skater dress is one of those samples! It was the perfect abstract animal stripe to go with this abstract leopard print!

Thank you again to for the samples! I look forward to working the others into more designs.

My six year old wears a skirt EVERY day on top of her leggings.

The last batch of skirts I made her are adorably short on her now due to a sudden growth spurt. 🌱

Usually she just wants a simple Aline skirt with an elastic waistband and fun print.

But last week she rediscovered a white satin handkerchief skirt at the bottom of the dress up trunk and continued to wear it for the rest of the week (even to bed!).

Now, white satin is a bit formal for everyday wear so I whipped her up a skirt in the same handkerchief style, that I think will suit her personality a little bit more…🐈‍⬛

And then I remembered the little piece of purple linen I had squirrelled away that matched so perfectly I just HAD to make it an outfit!

This seasons rayon prints are endless!!

✨Definitions:✨

Batiste and Challis are flat, tight woven, opaque-semi opaque materials.

Gauzy is a wrinkled, loosely woven, semi-opaque material.

All are perfect for the Everyday Maxi Skirt, Denise Top & Bottoms, and the Cleo Wrap Skirt.

The prices for each print/fabric vary. You can go into the Rayon Print listing in my Etsy shop and select the fabric you want for an estimate of how much will be added to the price of the style you wish to purchase. For example the Maxi skirt is $95 and the rayon print you want says $15. That means $15 will be added to the $95 for a total of $110 for your custom maxi skirt.

2) I will send you a quote for your order. If you accept I will make you a custom listing for your order.

The ‘Everyday’ linen is a medium weight linen; and is best used for jackets, skirts and pants.

The ‘Summer’ linen is a lighter weight linen; and is best used for skirts, tops and summer weight shirts/jackets and pants.

To order online;
1) Go to the listing for the item you wish to purchase.
2) Select *Linen* from the fabric drop down menu.
3) In the *Custom* section of the listing include the name of the colour linen you would like. (Include any important body measurements, specific to the style, in this section as well)
