Apparently, I’m supposed to just move on from summer. 😂⚓️

Meanwhile, half my thoughts involve checking the weather, untying lines, and deciding which dock we’re having dinner on.

I miss the people. The unplanned afternoons. The “one more night” that nobody needed convincing to stay for.

Mostly? I miss how I feel out there.

That’s the heart of Anchor Gear. Carrying that part of ourselves into every season. Because the boat can be put away—but good luck switching this off.

It’s late fall, but my mind is still waking up on Georgian Bay. ⚓️

Pulling up anchor as the mist lifts. Getting a head start toward our next destination while the bay is still quiet. That feeling of having a whole day on the water ahead of us.

Now the mornings are colder, the days are shorter, and photos like this make me wish we could do it all over again.

Taking the scenic route just to drive along the shoreline. Picking the restaurant for the dock. Going for a walk and somehow ending up exactly where you wanted to be.

The people who wave from the next dock. The strangers who become your summer friends. The local businesses and volunteers who keep these waterfront towns full of life long after the last boat comes out.

That’s the community I’m proud to call home—and the heart behind Anchor Gear Co.

Today’s stop in Bobcaygeon included picking up the last few pieces at Gordon Yacht Harbour and passing along an Anchor Gear donation for the Bobcaygeon Curling Club.

As a small business owner, being able to give back to the places and people around me means a lot. And every person who shops with me, wears Anchor Gear or tells a friend helps me keep building this.

The coffee’s hot. The house is quiet. But I’d give anything for this view again. ☕⚓️

That first sip with the sun coming across the water. A little chill that makes you pull your sleeves over your hands. The gentle rocking of the boat. Nowhere you need to be just yet.

Those mornings when you sit a little longer—even after your coffee’s gone cold.

Late October has me missing that feeling.
