I'm exhausted with trying to be seen, but I'm still here.

Still making beautiful things for babies and the people who love them.

From cozy hand-knit blankets to practical bibs, teethers, sensory toys and all the little things in between.

Still making. Still caring about the details. Still believing that handmade has a place in this world.

And still very grateful for everyone who finds their way to my little corner of it. ❤️

Where’s the pacifier?

Babies love to test their parents.

And apparently one of their favourite experiments is dropping things on the floor just to see what happens.

Again.

And again.

And again. 😂

The humble Pacifier Clip can offer a little security against the chaos jungle that is the playroom floor — or worse, the backseat of the car while you’re driving.

And despite the name, a Pacifier Clip can do more than keep track of a pacifier.

Attach it to baby’s snack cup to help keep it within reach.
Or loop it through a Cables and Lace Tag & Crinkle Sensory Toy to keep another favourite close by.

One tiny clip. A surprising number of uses.
And hopefully, one less thing on the floor.

Just in case there was any doubt...

No AI-generated product images here. 😂

Apparently Cables and Lace has a 'hand drawn in crayon' department now. 🖍️

The actual products are handmade too. 😉

Want to know more, drop a comment ... or if you need someone to draw some crayon images, maybe I can help! 😉

The more I learn, the more I realize there is so much to acknowledge.

Love.
Peace.
Truth.
Learn.
Apologize.

Sticky fingers, messy meals and clothes covered in… what even is that? 😆

Learning to eat solids can be messy. Finding the right bib shouldn’t be.

The Cables and Lace Feeding Bib is large, soft and absorbent — made to handle real-life mealtimes.

A soft, fun flannel print on the front, backed with absorbent terry towelling, with two-position KAM snaps for an adjustable fit.

And when mealtime is over? Toss it in the wash. Because baby essentials shouldn’t create more work. ❤️

Why I do what I do

I’ve been sewing for more than 45 years, and I’ve watched the quality of everyday things change along the way.
Receiving blankets are one of them.

This isn’t really about one receiving blanket.

It’s about why I choose the fabrics I use, why I prewash them, why I construct things the way I do, and why being able to survive real life — and the washing machine — matters to me.

So, here’s me talking about it.
No fancy production.
Just me.

Let me know if you have a perspective in the comments, I'd love to hear from you!
