That's a wrap folks. 4 pick ups and one fitting remain - now closed. It's been a wonderful experience and I've met some truly wonderful people. I feel so fortunate to have met you. This all began at the start of the pandemic when I made almost 1,000 masks - people started asking, "What else can you do"? Turned out, I could do A LOT 🙂. Loved the challenges, the exquisite fabrics, the gowns 🥰, the wide variety of projects & all the people happy with what I'd provided. In essence, what started as a hobby, became a FT business through word of mouth of happy clients like you. I truly appreciated that. I wasn't prepared though for the steady expansion of requests & unfortunately as my efforts to slow things down were not successful, it came time to close entirely. I know I will miss this however, life is short and it's time for other pursuits including working through my endless supply of crafting items. I am always making something - every single day. Today it's a doily for the deck table, a summer sweater & 2 scarves are on the loom. Sometimes I sell them, and sometimes they're gifts. Mostly I enjoy making things for the kids so they'll always know how much they mean to me. That is my one, most important job on this earth and is now my focus. My best to you all. Take special care. 🤗🫶💞 Will miss you all.

One of the many grad dresses I'll be working on before hanging up my skates at the end of April. Just like to share the things that bring me joy. You cant see the sparkles in the tulle from these pics, but it's absolutely stunning.
Was a bit of a marathon, but finished now.

Dear Valued Clients,

I want to take a moment to personally thank you for all your support and trust in my sewing business over the years. It has truly been a joy to create for you and be a part of your lives through my work.

After careful consideration, I’ve made the decision to close my business at the end of April. As I get older, I’ve come to realize that time is precious, and I want to spend more of it creating things for my family and working through the craft supplies I’ve collected over the years. Sewing for others has been a great honour, but I realize I need to shift my focus to the things closer to my heart.

If you have any requests, please contact me by mid April to ensure I can complete them before the business closes. All current requests will be completed as promised.

Thank you again for your understanding, and for letting me be part of your special moments. It’s been a pleasure working with you.

A great idea!
Client wanted 2 stockings made to match one on hand (right). Upcycled, reused fabric, interchanging toe heel & foot. As my goal is always to reduce consumption & reuse whenever possible, these fit that goal.
Look through your closets for some ideas. Dad's old plaid shirts? Wool or a heavier fabric works best on these. Get done early before I retire - again.

I'm back. Happy New Year to you all.
Scariest part of this alteration was cutting into an expensive official jersey.
Making it wider and adding an armpit gusset. One more side to go.
It was NOT the 42" chest as the label said. So......always try on your jersey before paying.
Was more of a 38" chest.

Been pretty quiet since closing for the month of Sept. Most of the painting done (kitchen still on the list)
A few memory pillows made from Grandpa shirts and a few bow ties for a wedding. Neither of which I've ever done before. But both important events. Some Socktober socks too! 🥰 Socks are another one of those 'things' 😁 I love to do.
