From Nigeria to Canada, from struggle to stability—here’s what I’ve learned 💡
My journey has taught me that true stability isn’t just about a place;
it's about a mindset. It's the ability to find a sense of peace and security within yourself, even when everything around you is uncertain.
Here are a few things that have helped me along the way:
Embrace the process:
The journey from struggle to stability isn't a straight line.
There will be setbacks and detours. Instead of getting discouraged, I learned to view these moments as valuable lessons and opportunities for growth.
Build your community:
In a new country, it can feel like you're starting from scratch. But finding and connecting with people who understand your journey or who are willing to support you can make all the difference.
My community became my anchor.
Celebrate small wins:
When the mountain feels too big to climb, focusing on the small steps forward keeps you moving.
Each small win—getting a new job, making a new friend, or even just mastering a new route on the subway—is a victory worth celebrating.
Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step, no matter how small, is a testament to your resilience.
Double-tap if you believe your journey matters, too.💃🏽🥰😍
