A long time knitter and lover of all things handmade, Katie is a 15 year old competitive Waterpolo player in Calgary, Alberta in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. In October of 2015, Katie suffered a third concussion in a short period of time which sidelined her from the sport she loves and the team she considered family. As she recovered, she designed a copyrighted pattern she calls "the

Banff", along with "the Jasper" suitable for outdoor enthusiasts who covet a stylish slouch hat. Among family and friends, her pattern and style of knit was so popular she launched her knits at a local craft fair and recieved wonderful feedback from her patrons.... Rocky Mountain Knits has become her outlet and her passion.
