AI isn’t the answer to every problem in your business.

It’ll write you 30 different strategies. It’ll build a funnel that sends the wrong people to the wrong page, and it’ll do it faster than you could have on your own.

AI doesn’t clean up a messy business. It just makes the mess move quicker.

Most of the founders I talk to have a clarity problem. They can’t tell me in one sentence what they sell, who it’s for, and why that person should care. No prompt is going to fill that gap for you.

Strategy first. The offer, the person, the message. Then AI becomes the thing that gets you there in half the time instead of the thing generating content you end up deleting.

Comment “CLAUDE” and I’ll walk you through it

If you’re new to Claude this for total beginners.

Here’s what I’d do first, in this order.

1. Download the desktop app. Not the browser version.

2. Go to your settings and fill out the instructions section. This is where you tell Claude who you are and what you do, one time. It carries that into every chat after, so you stop repeating yourself. Be specific. Include what you want it to stop doing too, no em dashes, your tone, always ask clarifying questions before it runs.

3. Connect your tools. Gmail, Google Drive, Asana, Notion, whatever you’re in daily. Once connected, Claude can work inside those apps and pull information directly, instead of you copying and pasting between ten tabs.

4. Learn to switch models. You’ll burn through tokens fast if you don’t. Sonnet for lighter, faster tasks. Opus for the deep thinking and ex*****on.

5. Start with one project. Everything about your business lives in that one place, and Claude remembers it. No more re-explaining yourself from scratch every session.

The task I used to dread every month now runs automatically.

For the longest time, tracking my numbers felt like the worst part of being a business owner. End of the month would roll around and I’d avoid it for days. But you can’t grow what you don’t measure, so I’d force myself to sit down and do it.

Not anymore.

I set up a scheduled task in Claude that fires on the last day of every month. It opens my Excel tracker, reads the two tabs, understands the color coding I already had set up, and fills in every number including where the money actually came from.

I don’t sit there doing it. I watch it work on the side while I do something else.

And no, it doesn’t touch my bank. I’m not handing over that kind of access. I keep the data flowing to it in a way I control, which is the safer way to run something like this anyway.

This is the stuff nobody tells you AI can actually do for your business. Not write a caption. Run the boring recurring task you keep putting off.

As a brand designer, this workflow has dramatically reduced what used to take hours of searching for the right illustration, colors, and style now everything looks cohesive and consistent for website design projects.

I gave Claude one prompt and told it to audit my Instagram like I was paying a pro to do it.

It came back with:
→ the exact line in my bio that’s costing me followers
→ the highlight names I need to change today
→ what my grid is silently telling strangers about me
→ and one brutal truth I genuinely wasn’t ready for

The fix list? Ranked by priority. With the rewrites already written.

Last month I came this close to dropping $10,000 on an AI program.
