They might be twice-exceptional, or "2e." (swipe 👉)

2e kids often get missed because their gifts and challenges hide each other. The key is supporting both sides at once: deep, interesting challenges plus the right tools.

Teachers: if a student seems "lazy" or "not living up to potential," it's worth looking twice. 👀

We talk a lot about what's hard with ADHD. Tonight, let's talk about what's great ⚡

Many people with ADHD bring:

✨ Calm in a crisis (when everyone else panics)
✨ Big empathy

Not every ADHD brain has every strength, and that's okay. But every kid deserves to hear what they're good at, not just what they need to work on.

Can you spot the rider? 👀

Honestly, I didn’t get this until a science museum exhibit stopped me in my tracks. A light jacket isn’t enough at dusk. A driver sees dark clothes at about 25 metres. Reflective gear? Up to 150. 🚲✨

With darker mornings, earlier sunsets and clocks falling back Nov 1, it’s the perfect time for a quick family refresher:
🍂 Add reflective bits that move (ankles, wrists, backpacks)
🍂 Make eye contact before you cross
🍂 Riding through a crosswalk? Hop off and walk it. That’s how you get a pedestrian’s right of way.

Fun fact to share at breakfast: until 1929, women in Canada weren't legally considered "persons." 😳

On October 18, 1929, five Alberta women known as the Famous Five won the Persons Case, and women could finally be appointed to the Senate. Today is Persons Day, right in the middle of Women's History Month.

For the Celts it was Samhain, the last night of summer and the first night of winter.

The night the wall between the living and the dead was thinnest.

Later, November 1 became All Hallows' Day, and the night before became All Hallows' Eve. Say it fast. Halloween.
