Earth Day Celebration Collaboration Gratitude List.
Almost in order of storyline appearance these are my co-workers involved in the creation of this video and some of the reasons why I am grateful to each of them:
I am grateful to Nathan:
• He created and recorded a beautiful piece of music for this collaboration from his own space using his own equipment, personal time and expertise.
• He was the first to accept my invitation to collaborate on an Earth Day Project. It was at that point a totally undefined idea that would feature my signature up-cycling designs.
• He recommended I write down some words to give him something to work with which in turn helped me collect my thoughts.
• He introduced the idea of asking Dave to film and produce a visual presentation.
• He was inspired to use a sample of song called ‘final countdown by Europe’ which is significant to me because it reminded me so much of my favourite, very powerful ‘level up’ guided hypnosis track.
I am grateful to Yeliah:
• She was the second person to accept an invitation to collaborate on the project as the Model and Actress in the visual presentation.
• With graceful social skill she recommended that I start a group chat for members to conveniently collaborate which was a highly beneficial tool.
• She generously purchased her own accessories for the presentation which included new Adidas shoes and a new Adidas tennis dress.
• She did her own hair, make up and styling.
• She impressively learned how to operate two sewing machines and how to incorporate other stitcher tools while being filmed in the spotlight.
I am grateful to Dave:
• He was the third person to accept an invitation to collaborate on the project by filming and producing a visual storyline about earth day in under a minute.
• He created a green screen studio for filming (in a small basement where I did the sewing) with two baskets of his own equipment, I recall a light fixture he brought had five bulbs.
• After he filmed the footage to draw from he edited the video and added all the background features, effects, storyline and the music into an insightful piece of short film.
• He kindly took time to incorporate my vision for the outcome of a fashion complimentary feature into his art.
• He also shared his professional communication skills to interact on the group’s behalf with our leadership team and shared the news that our art is a feature presentation on BDC televisions within our warehouse and in global communications.
I am grateful to Guneet
• Her expertise in business, fashion and communication led her to synchronistically reach out to me with a turtle neck/hoodie design she came across on social media; just as I was contemplating how on earth I was going to create one in my mind.
I am grateful to Sukanya
• Her expertise in illustration, culture and philosophy helped me to decide upon the best associative image when I was deciding to purchase a patch to represent India. I wanted part of the artistic flare in this outfit to be geographically eclectic so many countries are included in the fabric art.
Finally I am grateful to the leadership of Adidas
• For inviting me to create a project for Earth Day this year at our local BDC branch for display. I am grateful for the opportunity for myself and my co-workers to display our talents and to promote a worthy topic with optimism.
