The broken main water main is fixed. Resume regular use of water but expect possible discolouration for a day or so.

UPDATE
As of 8:30am, August 7, 2026, the Canso/Hazel Hill Water Utility issue has been resolved. Residents may resume regular water consumption. Expect water discolouration. Also, water lines will be flushed later today potentially resulting in low pressure. We thank residents for their patience.

As of 8:40pm, August 6, 2026, the Canso/Hazel Hill Water Treatment Plant has been shut down. It is imperative residents immediately conserve water consumption while we work on repairs to the water main break

A water main break has been identified in the Canso / Hazel Hill Water Utility, as a result we are asking residents to immediately conserve water consumption.
