The City of Charlottetown has made us aware that this weekend may be the last time to skate at Vic Park before some renovations begin. These renovations were planned but the timeline was not official until a few days ago.

With consultation along side Skateboard PEI , Wise Skateboarding Club and ourselves Town City the renovations will include replacement of all temporary features with new temporary features, as well as repairs to cracks and removal of unsafe and damaged permanent concrete features.

The city has promised that these changes will be step one of moving towards a brand new concrete skatepark in the next coming years.

Thank you to everyone who had a part to play in the first few renditions of the Charlottetown Skatepark, and we can wait to see what comes next.

If you want to see old clips from the park, go to Footy or Fiction and Jason MacAulay who has been documenting the park for over 15 years.

Go skate and have fun.
