A successful trip to Aberfoyle Antique Market today! 🧵✨ I’m thrilled to add these two vintage gems to my collection — a Singer Sewhandy and a Cragstan Crystal toy sewing machine. There’s just something magical about these mini machines and the stories they carry.

If you haven’t been yet, the market is open every Sunday until October 26th, so there’s still plenty of time to treasure hunt!

Here it is — the finished piece I shared in my reel earlier this week! I’m so pleased with how the points lined up and how simply cutting and turning half-square triangles created such a bold, dynamic design. ✨

I also had some fun experimenting with the quilting on this one: vertical lines done with my walking foot and variegated thread, stitched tighter on the right and looser on the left to add subtle movement. And then there’s the diagonal black stitching — intentionally offset from the piecing so it stands out as a design element, not just a detail.

Four blocks, pieced and stitched — and now this vibrant little quilt top is officially DONE! 🎉

I'm so happy with how all these colours came together. Next up: matchstick quilting for texture and facing instead of traditional binding to keep those edges sleek and clean.

Today’s not a sewing day… it’s a shopping day! 🛍️✨

I hit up every textile shop along Queen Street, and of course made a stop at the iconic King Textiles in Toronto. So many textures, colours, and possibilities — I can’t wait to turn today’s finds into something beautiful!
