It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenton Beebe on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in his 99th year.
Born and raised in Wentworth, Nova Scotia, he moved his family to Cobourg in 1960. For 25 years he was known to many as the propietor of Beebe Boot Shop. Upon his retirement he returned to Nova Scotia, and spent many happy years working in his garden and the maple sugar woods.
Brenton was predeceased by 1st wife Bernice Carruthers (1979) and 2nd wife Hazel Carruthers (2016). He is survived by his children - Joy Millson (Ross), Roger (Deb), and Ward (Penny) - and their families.
Brenton will be remembered for his humility, kindness and generosity.

Earlier this year we decided to sell the building that was home to a shoe store for over 100 years. In March 2023 Ward removed the BEEBE’S sign from the building, ending that chapter of our lives.
Since March the new owner's have been making their vision a reality. On July 1st SENSE HOME & GARDEN opened their doors. When in Downtown Cobourg pop in and welcome them to the neighbourhood.
