We wanted to share an update on Hudson.
After an incredibly difficult week, Hudson is finally home. While we are beyond grateful to have him back where he belongs, his journey is far from over.
He continues to deal with constant headaches and is very tired as his brain heals from the bleed. In about a month, he will return to SickKids for another angiogram. The doctors need to wait until his brain has absorbed more of the blood before they can get a clearer picture of exactly what they're dealing with and determine the best treatment plan moving forward.
There is still a small risk of another bleed, and the uncertainty is one of the hardest parts. We don't know exactly what the future holds, but we're choosing to stay hopeful and take things one day at a time. Hudson will also continue to be followed closely by the amazing team at SickKids every year until he turns 18.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who has prayed for Hudson, shared our story, donated, sent messages, or simply kept our family in your thoughts. Your kindness, generosity, and support have carried us through the darkest days, and we will never be able to express how much it has meant to us.
Please continue to keep Hudson in your prayers as he faces the next steps in his recovery. We are so thankful to have him home, and we remain hopeful for the road ahead.
With that being said I will be taking some much needed time to focus on spending time with our boys and making sure Hudson is safe and healing before his next appointment. Thank you for understanding❤️
