Sometimes clients bring me garments not for a regular alteration, but to fix work that has already been done by someone else.

That was the case with this dress.

Correcting someone else’s work is often much more challenging than starting from scratch. First, the original stitching has to be carefully removed, and with delicate fabric there’s always a risk of damaging it or causing runs.

Despite the challenges, I was able to repair the seams and complete the alteration neatly. I’m very happy with the final result, and that’s what matters most to me.

I always strive to make every repair look as though it was done right the first time.

I’d also like to give a special thank you to my son, Oleksii, who designed and built this website from start to finish. I’m incredibly proud of the work he’s done and the final result. If you or someone you know is looking for a modern, professional website for a business, I’d be happy to recommend him.

Thank you all for your continued support of my business. I truly appreciate every one of you and look forward to helping you with all your clothing alteration needs! ❤️

From time to time, garments come to me after unsuccessful alterations. Unfortunately, correcting someone else’s mistakes is often more difficult, more expensive, and sometimes even impossible.

Clothing alterations, especially for prom dresses, evening gowns, and wedding dresses, require much more than simply knowing how to use a sewing machine. They require professional training, experience, and an understanding of garment construction.

Before trusting a valuable garment to someone, it is worth checking their experience, reviewing examples of their work, and reading customer reviews.

I always discuss the cost of the work before starting any alteration, explain the scope of the work involved, and only begin after the client has agreed.

Quality workmanship is not an expense — it is an investment in a garment you love and want to enjoy wearing for years to come.

Thank you to all of my clients for your trust and support. ❤️

Prom season is here — and many graduation dresses are coming in for alterations.

Very often girls buy beautiful dresses several sizes bigger, thinking it will be easy and inexpensive to remake them into a smaller size. But in reality, major alterations on formal dresses can cost several times more than expected — sometimes even more than the dress itself.

Why? Because formal dresses often have:
multiple layers
lining
corsets
beading or lace
complicated construction

The more layers and details a dress has, the more time and careful work is required.

My advice when choosing a graduation dress:
Try to buy the correct size from the beginning
The simplest and most affordable alteration is shortening the length
Ideally — dresses with only 1–2 layers (main fabric + lining)

This way, alterations stay much more budget-friendly 😊

Thank you for understanding the value of professional alteration work ❤️
