Still pinching myself over this one… 🤯🧵✈️🇯🇵

I am SO happy and proud to share that my quilting, embroidery, and one of my handmade Thread Spool Wreaths were featured in a special quilt exhibition in Tokyo, Japan!! Yes… ALL the way across the world! ❤️

One of my wonderful customers from work (yes… I still have a day job to help pay the bills 😂) asked if I would send some pieces to display as part of the international quilter section of the show. What an incredible honour!

The exhibition was:
✨ Masako Wakayama and CRIB QUILT Exhibition
✨ Theme: “Quilts That Weave Stories Together”

The show sounded absolutely magical — vintage quilts, storytelling through fabric, woodland-inspired displays with books and branches, and quilts from artists in TEN different countries! 🌍🪡

My contribution included:
🧵 A small wall-hanging quilt featuring embroidered sewing-themed blocks made on my embroidery machine
🧵 One of my Thread Spool Wreaths, created using empty thread spools wrapped in fun fabrics and decorated with tape measures, thimbles, buttons, Wonder Clips, and safety pins

To think that something I created by hand was displayed in Tokyo alongside so many talented artists is honestly something I never imagined. 💕

Sometimes you just need the reminder that your creativity can travel farther than you ever expect. ✨
