Blue Merlin Makes

Blue Merlin Makes I'm living a creative, happy life sewing lovely, cozy things! Highly original, handmade and simply gorgeous pieces of jewellery!

I use a mix of high quality art glass and polymer clay beads, crystals, crystal and freshwater pearls, Czech glass beads, sterling silver wire, gold filled components, pewter charms and connectors, as well as copper wire, beads and connectors. As you will see from my pieces, I love colour - colour inspires and motivates me to create my delightful, effervescent, and often whimsical pieces. I really

love what I do, and my purpose in creating these pieces is to make the wearer feel happy when she is wearing them! If you are interested in contacting me about my jewellery, please email me! Thank you for taking the time to check out my work.

May in the garden 🌹

My David Austin rose "Eustacia Vye" is resplendent in her May glory! This is her third summer in this bed, and she is clearly loving it! The foxgloves and coral bells in the background are looking particularly fine this year, too.

(Also, "resplendent" is a truly excellent word 😁)

My Friday fun...publishing a newsletter on Patreon!

Hello, lovely friends! I feel like I've done something monumental πŸ˜‚ But it does feel like a pretty big deal to finally do the thing of publishing my Patreon pageπŸ™‚

The collage here gives you an idea of what to expect in my newsletter - lots of gardening, books, flowers, stitching, and Corgis πŸ™‚

I wanted to try something new that will allow me to build a crafty, stitchy, garden - y community in a bit of a different way than on Instagram. I'm looking forward to creating more newsletters, posts, and even videos!

I'd love to have you join me there at
www.patreon.com/FromSeedtoStitch 😊🌷

We're going to have fun! πŸ’•

A very small host of golden daffodils, perhaps? Gleaming in the early morning sunlight, they're a delight to see out of our kitchen windows 😊

Note to self: but more daffodil bulbs next fall!

Oh, the joy of April flowers! (Better than the April showers, which were really more of a downpour today!) These primulas are generous bloomers and are such a cheerful sight on a grey April day 😊

What a perfect Easter Monday! I spent nearly all day outside, the weather was that glorious! I did plenty of gardening and am now feeling pleasantly tired πŸ™‚

I've said before that this is the time of year when my two passions- gardening and stitching - really start to complete with each other! I didn't get any stitching done this weekend, but I did finish this Easter mini quilt earlier last week. I love the fabrics and colours...it puts a smile.on my face 😊

Daffodils are gorgeous this time of year, but you cannot beat the scent of hyacinths 😊

What is your favourite spring flower? Daffs? Tulips? Cherry blossoms? Let me know!

The not quite completed March block for my year long project! Each block has a central square scene reflecting the month and made with wool blend felt. The central square is surrounded by co-ordinating fabric and finished in the quilt as you go method! I'm having so much fun coming up with each little felt scene and adding tiny embellishments 😊πŸͺ‘
