New Year's Resolution !!!! Great or dangerous idea?

2022 years later we are, once again, celebrating the birth one of the greatest prophets, saints, yogis, visionaries, revolutionaries and mystics of all times, Jesus Christ.
He taught that through compassion, forgiveness, and kindness towards ourselves and each other we can reach the ultimate state of universal, therefore human, consciousness :
Love
His teachings spread like wild fire and brought together in peace and harmony people of all genders, nations and races.
Needless to say the big powers and rulers of that time didn’t like the popularity that he was gaining as his teachings questioned any authority outside of ourselves. He taught us that the kingdom of heaven is within each and every one of us, and for that he was arrested and executed.
The Teachings survived and lived on and
these days, 2022 years later, I feel that they are alive more than ever.
He was asking us to focus on elevating our existence and cultivating our human nature through meditation, breath-work, prayer, self reflection, proper nutrition and hygiene. He taught us that we as humans have the potential to transcend emotions of jealousy, competitiveness, hatred, greed, cruelty into feelings of higher vibration like cooperation, acceptance, generosity, gentleness, forgiveness, and through that we may better ourselves and the world around us. The Buddha Gautama taught the same truth about 500 years before him as many other prophets and enlightened people after him did. The Great mystic Sufi poet Rumi said : “Love is not an emotion it is your very existence”.
I love this time of year because despite religious,racial, political disagreements ,for a few days , the whole world pauses to reflect on Love and Light through celebrating Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Christmas or just simply resting and enjoying the company of family and friends.
So whatever your personal belief, let’s put our differences aside and focus on expressing our true nature by tapping into the Love and Light that we are, just the way Jesus taught us.

After a few sunny, relaxing, beautiful days in BC's wine country (Okanagan Vally), driving my Beatle convertible between Naramata Bench vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms I am back to rainy, grey, cold Vancouver.
I found it really difficult to adjust as if I was away for a long time and in some diferent country and not just 4 and a half hours drive away from where I live. It has been extraordinary wet and cold winter here. Sun is a rear commodity at the moment and it's not easy to keep the spirits up. I need to pay attention to my inner dialog and be extra kind to myself. Are you kind to yourself?

Is this blog about judgement or Marilyn ?
For the past month or so I have been allowing outside world to take me for a ride, reacting and responding to the chaos around me. It is important to make our voices loud when needed, otherwise where we would be as a humanity if we just always “rolled with punches” and nobody ever stood up to face injustice. But then it is important to let go of it and focus again on our personal growth, because change in the world on a bigger scale will happen when we all collectively raise in our consciousness. It starts with dropping our judgement and need for control and instead introducing acceptance and trust that everything will work out as it should. In our human eyes outside evens might look distorted but luckily, as much as we want to be, we are not in charge. In the big picture, in that very big picture, non of us are in charge, even the ones that really think that they are. We are a stardust in an infinite universe. We and our petty grievances are nano particles in this vast cosmic picture, in the huge wheel of life. We all just “Walk each other home” as Ramdas said, so how about we make that walk a pleasant adventure.
Dawn follows night, hope follows despair and on it goes. I chose to believe that, ultimately, goodness in us will prevail and guide us in to a new way of living, the one where our existence will not be rooted in fear that gives birth to judgement, that creates illusion of us being diferent from each another, resulting in separated, segregated and disconnected society. What other option we have if we want to survive?
