The beginning of a quirky doodle style broken skull and flowers on a forearm. 💀 Inspired by a Pinterest picture to practice. More details to add at a later date to give it more contrast. I find it very difficult to take a photo of the true piece without it getting distorted/blurred in areas so sorry. 😩

Oh hello...it's me giving a tattoo update for the first time in quite some time. I haven't gone anywhere. I unfortunately had to temporarily close last fall due to some health + blood sugar issues.

But I'm happy to say I'm feeling much better and excited to be reopening this fall. 🖤

Here's a flower in progress on my husband that I finally added some detail to after only doing a sad little outline many months ago when I first started this new journey...just trying to save the piece from its original stage last year. 😅 Maybe I'll do another similar flower now on his other arm to see where my original linework/lineweight use has improved from.

It was very late at night working on this so had to stop before completed 😴 but next we'll add final details and some white accents after this stage heals. Please forgive my photography skills as I'm still learning how to take a proper photo of my work in general but especially on curved areas.

My style is really staying true to what I have always loved which is what I'd call "dark, bold, quirky, blackwork", which also coincides with my wardrobe most of the time. 😅 Especially dark portraits, creepy elements, and all black and white. I love doing pieces with contrast, weird witchy elements, and out of the box accents/style. I'm really looking forward to doing some cool dark zodiac sign portraits. I have some ideas underway on my iPad that I'll be posting to see who may be interested in those.

I will talk to you all soon and give a better update on my location, plans, etc. Some of you are waiting for a message from me and promise I'll send you an update soon! I appreciate you all who have reached out to me - I am still here and looking forward to treating you to some ink therapy! 😊

I had a client come in today for her first ever tattoo - a simple rose with varying line thicknesses and small black packed shading. We will touch base again in 4 weeks for touch ups and some shading if she chooses. She was a real trooper because I'm still a slow poke! Very thankful for you coming in to help me develop my skills. I'm slowly gaining more confidence. 😊 One tattoo at a time!

Working on this tattoo for my mom (minus the signature). I revamped a selfie of me and put the 4 kids birth flowers on it. Still some details to add but I'm looking forward to it.

I finally touched up my mom's tattoo that I originally did back in July on my first day tattooing a person. The flower and stem was quite wonky and inconsistent. I thickened up the lines and added some white highlight. It's still not perfect from the prior "defects" in July but it is full of "character" and a memory for us and I love it just for that reason lol 😅
