As fashion designer Marc Jacobs acknowledges "style is much more interesting than fashion." Thirty-one years ago, two brothers opened a small men's wear shop with the intention of creating a unique Edmontonian style; their goal: to introduce innovative fashion to Edmonton, which would reflect the individual style of a city on the brink of greatness in the 1980s. Over the years, the shop grew and expanded to include the city of Calgary, the reception from both communities far exceeding expectations. Supporting the vision of URBAN and allowing the vision to grow with the changing city, was our loyal clientele and devoted staff who have allowed our aspirations to become a reality.
As a family, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Edmonton community for your support in our vision. Moreover, our vision was only made possible by the ever enduring and dedicated staff that we have had the pleasure of working with, and learning from, over the past thirty-one years!
Serving Edmonton and Calgary has been an aspiration fulfilled through the support of the community. With our deepest of love for Edmonton, we thank you for your support and with a heavy heart, we bid farewell to the Edmonton community.
