I'm seriously not going to be too sad to see 2020 go. I'm not sure I'm ready for 2021, but this year has been a real learning experience.

There were lowlights like not having any markets, not seeing my market friends and downright just not feeling like doing the things I love. There was switching on the fly to working my day job from home (not completely a lowlight - and I'm still very grateful to have a job). Not seeing people except on Zoom, FaceTime etc.

But it was not without its high moments too. Getting our puppy Hunter two days before the world around us basically broke, having people touch base with you "just because" and even receiving a handwritten note or two. One celebration was celebrating a one year Sister-versary after my sister and I found each other. Who knew two people that didn't know each other for so long could be so much the same!! SISTERS!!

And thank you to those who supported local makers, including myself. This year was a rollercoaster and you folks made this ride less scary and more exciting for us.

Looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings, and hoping for all the best for my friends and family. Take care of each other and keep safe everyone! ~ Lisa

It’s something we call many names: Autumn, Fall, Cozy Season or Pumpkin Spice Season.
Whatever you call is it is hands down the most favourite time of the year for yarn lovers. So I welcome the season of yarn with these adorable baby pumpkins. Paid a visit to Angela of Neatnik Yarns at her pop up shop yesterday at River City Yarns and picked up a skein of her Bulky Corkscrew Handspun. This is her newest base and it is fantastic/fabulous/gorgeous I can’t decide - much like I can’t decide what to make with this gorgeousness. Maybe if I could stop staring at it. There will be more of this coming. You need this.
