Hey y’all! What a week it has been. 😩 Began the week with a migraine so bad that the youngest was taking care of me throughout the day. Lots of intense news hit this week around the world and my brain is overloaded.

But I *finally* finished up the swatch for this brand new colourway. Introducing, Monster Mash, Graveyard Smash. Available on the website now. The last photo was my inspiration for the colourway.

This week, in between finishing up round one of Countdown to Halloween boxes, I’ve been working on some new Fall/Halloween colours and this is one of them. I’m thinking of a name that has something to do with pumpkins in the forest but am coming up empty. Any suggestions?

I’m back from holidays and gosh did I have an amazing trip! We went to Revelstoke, spent time with my family and had a very busy but relaxing week. Now it’s time to get back to work but here are some photos from my trip.

Photo 1: A quick stop at Windy Point. A nice quiet stop unlike the super windy stop two years ago. This is one of the only smoky pictures from the trip, thankfully.

Photo 3: Lots of great food on the trip but this sign as we were leaving The Village Idiot was hilarious.
Photo 4: Hours spent at Three Valley Gap Ghost Town. We made sure to check out all the buildings and ride the train.
Photo 5: A view from the Revelstoke Skywalk. The Pipe Mountain Coaster is an absolute blast!
Photo 6: We saw two bears!! It’s been years since I’ve seen them so I was very excited.
Photo 7: We visited The Enchanted Forest and had a lots of fun reading the nursery rhyme and folk tale signs to see if they matched how we remembered them.
Photo 8: All the way up at the top of the Revelstoke Dam. It was quite an amazing tour.
Photo 9: Had to stop in and see Cyrena at Melanie on the way home to pick up some yarn for new hats. This is King Cole Firefly Aran in the colour Aurora Beetle. The kids loved how soft it is!

Shop update below. Today, I’ve added single skeins of each of the colours shown here to the shop! Some of these colours haven’t been restocked for quite some time. I’ve also added a few half skeins of Trick Or Treat!

🔔 Shop news: I am taking a break from August 9th through 16th to spend time with my family. The website will remain open in my absence. All orders will be processed upon my return. Any ready to ship orders placed during this time will start shipping on August 17th. All dyed to order requests will take 2-3 weeks upon my return. Advent preorders are still open. Shipping timelines are separate from the 2-3 weeks quoted above. Exact timelines can be found in the individual listings. Preorders for Countdown to Halloween boxes will be closing on August 15th.

I have a yarn update for you! I’ve been working on a wholesale order, and Halloween preorders (still open for another week) but now I am starting to work on some new colours that I hope to share soon!

Restocked today, Investigations and Intrigue along with Ghostly have found their way to the website today.

Designing is going well so far! I’ve got all the notes sitting beside me. Time for a baseball break (and find more stitch markers). Go Jays Go! ⚾️

I got the itch to create something today. So I pulled out my advent calendar minis from 2022, wound my first colour, and now the designing can begin. Fingers crossed I don’t lose my motivation. 🤪

Ready for more Christmas yarn? Because it’s ready! I’ve stocked my four stripe (Believe) and two stripe colourways (Ho Ho Ho!) from last year’s self striping Christmas sock sets. There’s also extra sock sets from June’s book inspired colourway, and a few other colourways on half skeins. Phew. That was a lot of work. Thank you so much for your patience getting all of this ready with the weather we’ve been having lately. If you have any questions, please let me know. 🫶🏻

I had planned on a big shop update today, but the poor air quality has knocked me on my butt. My kids literally thought I was getting sick because my voice is horrible. My youngest has said that I am to spend the rest of the day on the couch and not move. Bless her heart!

I will try to get the shop update finished tomorrow. Air quality is supposed to getting better soon. Fingers crossed. Thanks in advance for your patience! If the air quality isn’t good where you are, please take care of yourselves!
