-a new tradition kicked off this year every second sunday of the month at the old tyme flea. it’s been a nice little addition to the space and overall been appreciated by the neighbors and rosebowlers alike.
-so if you find yourself on the blacktop one of these sundays, come by for a cup and conversation. we’ll talk coffee, we’ll talk cotton and we’ll make damn sure you leave with a smile on your face 😀

CHAIN SERVICE
-for anyone who’s been along for this ride with us, you know I have an admiration for embroidered chain. I’ve been collaborating with talented artists since early on in this journey to tattoo our cloth on numerous occasions and have always included some live chainstitch with our Shindig shows to help others appreciate the craft as well. As a creative, the artist in me always wanted to be able to do this on my own and a little while back I had the opportunity to get my hands on an antique workhorse to do such that.
-this here 1950s relic from Japan will be a staple in our operation for years to come. a tool to master.
-respectfully so, 10,000 hours don’t come overnight. but you bet your ass, as we continue to build our little family run outfit, chipping away at them in the Shophouse will certainly play a fun part.

END OF THE ROAD
-canyon rips, blue skies and a pacific breeze in your face. it’s hard to beat that feeling. chasing the open road, embracing the calm. just you and a machine. something we long for. cherish.

-staring at this jacket, it takes me there. sentiment, history and much more than the eye can see. as a creative, im probably not supposed to have such an attachment to my work, but here we are. and here i do.

-this here jacket, is the last piece to a stamp in time. the end of the road for us maybe, but the beginning of a lifetime for one of you.

THATS A WRAP
-another calendar year in the books for our little makeshift outfit that is STS. it’s been one hell of a year, ups, downs and lots going on all around, but we’re more than grateful to keep this truck truckin, I’ll tell you that.
-most certainly looking forward to what’s ahead, the next chapter is exciting, keep things close and doing it our way. thank you to every soul who ever shares any time with us, it really means the world to me and my family.
-shoutout to for capturing the beginning of what lies ahead, extremely honored for this feature in their 35th anniversary edition. arigato.
-in nippon fashion, we’re kicking off the new year just right, with the homies and NYD gathering. looking forward to it.

CLASSIC TEES
-any and all, Santa Barbara county. come on thru, tomorrow its HOMESPUN at the SB Community Arts Workshop. we’ll be hitting the road early and hanging out for the day.
-come treat yourself early to an early Xmas. try on some beautiful raw American selvedge denim, or grab an organic cotton tee, true classics, all cut and sewn right here in Los Angeles.

SHOPHOUSE
-life, family and presence has been the focus round these parts lately. been slowly chipping away at putting our little shop/studio/showroom together when time allows. It’s not fully functioning just yet, but we are making some strides to get this up and running.
-what’s ahead may still all just be in my head, but we’ve certainly got the pieces to put it together properly. still lots to do no doubt, but excited none the less to truly bring this next chapter of STS to life.

-this piece here is the last of an original set of heavy weight cotton shirts we put together back in ‘21. The classic blue postmarked the year and gives a nod to both my birthtown and now my hometown.

-much love and respect to any and all who’s got a small piece of this original set, truly built to work and they only get better with time.

PROOF OF LIFE
-whats up yall. been a little MIA on here these past couple months. a whole lot of change is goin on, both personally and with our little operation that is STS. all for the good no doubt, but certainly some major undertakings and we’re just trying to keep our heads above water while doing so.
-so please bare with us as we continue to shape this next chapter ahead. still lots to do but we’re excited about it and hope you are too.
-thanks to everyone who’s touched base and checked in the last while, it means a lot. the web shop is back in action for anyone wondering and we’re in a form of better shape to get things out the door as needed now.
-lastly, be kind to one another out there, we’re all humans, just try and be a good one.

RIVER CITY LOVE
-spent the last couple weeks back in and around the hometown, Edmonton, The Chuck, Oil Country, YEG. Always love coming home in the summer. Nothing beats seeing friends and family after a long time away, and our river valley is the best there is, hands down. Came and gone too fast for sure, but our time here is always cherished.

Congrats to my little bro and his Mrs. on tieing the knot! Was one heck of a time.

And mad props to my other little bro, this is his latest track. A wordsmith no doubt, keep doing you brother.

STATUS QUO
-in this time of transition, we’re between two homes and in a state of flux regarding the shop. In addition, our fam is headed up to the motherland for a couple weeks to spend some needed time with friends and family.
