Monde of Monde’s threads is *chef’s kiss* brilliant. Here she is with the best reminder about ordering garments online. Making something bigger is hard to make pretty. Take your body measurements and order to the largest part of you.

One of the things I love about my job is that each day brings a new and different project. I was asked to make 10 felt top hats for a client who uses them for the cement snowmen ⛄️ she makes.

I am truly atrocious at social media. Despite my lack of posting, I’ve been busy over here altering dresses for the wedding season. But I don’t just do dresses - look at this lovely blind hem on this pair of men’s suit pants. Don’t just let your aunt zip over a hem with her regular sewing machine, come by for a professional dress pant hem and let my industrial blind hem machine do it’s magic. ✌️👍🫶

I should have taken a before photo for full dramatic effect. A customer brought in their old bag that they wanted patched because the pleather was all cracked. Some things you just can't patch without it looking pretty bad, so instead of a patch job we decided to remake the bag out of new leather with the original tapestry.

Oh Boy! My worst nightmare when I started repairing this coat was feathers flying all around the sewing room. However, there is no way around it when you have to turn this jacket inside out to repair its seams, patch a big hole in the pocket, and replace its zipper. I had a ziplock bag that I kept collecting the feathers in to re-stuff when I sewed it back up. Sometimes there's no way through but through. It definitely was a "worse before it's better" scenario. But I'm pleased as punch with the finished repair.
