There’s something special about fall at Balls Falls! 🍂🍁

We’re honoured to be back at the Balls Falls Thanksgiving Festival, a tradition we’ve been part of for so many years.

The beautiful scenery, the gorgeous fall colours, the incredible shopping and all those autumn vibes make this one of our absolute favourite festivals. This weekend never disappoints!

Our booth is filled with mitts, slippers, handbags and all kinds of leather goodness!

We’re here right through Monday. Come enjoy a little fall magic with us! 🧡

Where does the time go? 🤎

Running a small business, I ask myself that almost every day.

There are never quite enough hours to get everything done that I want to get done. The cutting, sewing, production, orders, the boutique, emails, designing, problem-solving… and then all the little things in between.

The hands may stop at the end of the day, but the mind rarely does. There’s always another idea, another order, another thing I want to create or get finished.

And somehow, you look up and another day has flown by.

I guess that’s where the time goes.
Into building something you care about, one busy day at a time. 🤎

We are pretty darn proud to be featured in The Canadian Press today! 🇨🇦❤️

It’s exciting to think that our Lake Ontario coin purse made enough of a statement for a national news outlet to reach out and ask me about the story behind it.

We’re a small Ontario business, and this is our lake. So when Lake Ontario started being called something else, well… I had a few thoughts. 😉

Nothing political — just a whole lot of Canadian pride and a little reminder…

Summer vibes on a fall weekend. ☀️🌊

I spent the day on the beach with my sisters… soaking in this summery fall day… and walked the shores of Georgian Bay in my ever-so-loved Ballet Slippers.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve seen me take these right into the water. I can’t brag enough about these deerskin leather slippers and how durable they are.

They get wet. They get sandy. I let them dry, dust them off, and back into the house they go as my house slippers.

They literally go everywhere with me. ❤️

If you don’t have a pair yet… you might just need them. 😉

Our Fall/Winter 2026 show season is officially here! 🍁🍎🎄

We’re packing up Hides in Hand and hitting the road for some of our favourite Ontario fall and Christmas shows.

From St. George this weekend right through to the One of a Kind Christmas Show in Toronto, we have a busy few months ahead — and we can’t wait to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones along the way.
