Never trust a bobbin

Sewing teaches creativity. Patterns teach discipline. The sewing machine teaches patience. And the bobbin? The bobbin teaches us that trust is a dangerous game. 😂🧵

You can measure twice, cut once, follow the pattern perfectly, thread the machine like a professional, and feel completely confident… then suddenly the bobbin decides it has other plans. 😭😂 But perhaps that’s the real lesson of sewing: things don’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay. Untangle the thread, fix the mistake, take a deep breath, and keep stitching. Because behind every beautiful handmade creation is probably at least one tangled bobbin, a few questionable decisions, and a whole lot of patience! ❤️🪡

People often admire the warmth and beauty of a finished quilt, but few see the patience, perseverance, and love woven into every stitch. The journey of creating something meaningful is rarely easy, yet it is in those quiet moments of dedication that the maker is shaped and strengthened.

Life is much the same. We may focus on the finished results, but God often uses the process to teach us resilience, humility, and grace. Our struggles, imperfections, and seasons of waiting are not wasted—they are part of the masterpiece being formed within us.

I’ve spent a lot of difficult days making my best work
